Full Job Description Job Title:
General Laborer Job Summary:
The General Laborer is responsible for supporting daily warehouse, production, recycling, shipping, and receiving operations at NextGen Alloy Recycling. This position plays a vital role in the processing, sorting, handling, and preparation of specialty alloy and stainless-steel materials. The General Laborer works closely with the operations team to ensure materials are processed safely, efficiently, and accurately while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Perform daily warehouse, production, and recycling operations. Fill and prepare warehouse orders for shipment. Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently. Operate forklifts, mechanical lifts, and other material handling equipment as trained and authorized. Weigh incoming and outgoing materials and accurately record weights. Sort, identify, and process specialty alloy and stainless-steel materials. Maintain inventory and assist with inventory counts and organization. Transport materials throughout the facility using appropriate equipment. Prepare outgoing materials for shipment, including packaging, labeling, and staging. Assist with receiving, inspecting, and storing incoming materials. Maintain cleanliness and organization of warehouse, production, and storage areas. Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and operational guidelines. Assist with general warehouse, production, and facility tasks as needed. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:

Ability to follow instructions, procedures, and safety requirements. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to identify and solve basic operational problems. Willingness to learn company processes and material identification procedures. Ability to adapt to changing production priorities and operational needs.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous warehouse, manufacturing, recycling, construction, or general labor experience preferred but not required. Forklift experience or certification preferred. Experience operating material handling equipment is a plus. Metal recycling, scrap processing, or specialty alloy experience is helpful but not required. On-the-job training will be provided.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and perform physical labor for extended periods. Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds regularly and more with assistance. Ability to safely work around heavy equipment, machinery, forklifts, and moving materials. Ability to climb, reach, crouch, and perform repetitive physical tasks. Ability to work in a warehouse, production, and outdoor environment as needed. Ability to work in varying temperatures, weather conditions, dust, and noise levels common to industrial operations. Must be able to wear the required personal protective equipment (PPE) and comply with all safety requirements.
