Responsibilities Safely operate equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts, cranes, pallet jacks, and order pickers to load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse. Conduct inventory management activities including stock counting, inventory control, and updating records using warehouse management systems like AS400 or RF scanners. Assist with order fulfillment by picking, packing, and preparing shipments for delivery while ensuring accuracy with order picking procedures. Manage shipping and receiving processes by verifying inbound and outbound shipments, utilizing heavy equipment operation skills for load & unload tasks. Maintain a clean, organized workspace by stocking shelves, packaging products securely, and ensuring compliance with OSHA safety standards. Support warehouse distribution activities through materials handling, order processing, and supporting manufacturing or construction-related tasks as needed. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow efficiency and adhere to safety protocols related to heavy lifting and mechanical knowledge. Experience Previous warehouse experience is highly preferred; familiarity with warehouse distribution environments is a plus. Hands-on experience operating heavy equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts, cranes, or order pickers. Knowledge of inventory management systems (e.g., AS400), RF scanners, or other warehouse management systems. Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to operate pallet jacks, load & unload machinery safely, and perform basic maintenance on equipment. Experience in shipping & receiving processes including order fulfillment, stock control, and packaging procedures. Demonstrated understanding of OSHA safety standards related to warehouse operations and heavy equipment use. Ability to perform heavy lifting consistently while maintaining attention to detail during stock stocking or order picking tasks.
