Job Description
Dockhand position is entry level waterfront position capable of performing the following tasks:
- Assist members boarding and disembarking boats at club docks.
- Handle lines for boats arriving and departing
- Perform routine housekeeping maintenance on docks and adjoining shoreline
- General boat washing for fleet of race committee boats
- Assist with raising and lowering of flags in observance of colors
- Assist members in need with golf cart transport to clubhouse
- Trash removal and restocking of ice chest
- Competence using marine VHF
- Assist members using dinghy dock
- Positive member interaction with emphasis on delivering top notch service NYYC will train returning dockhands with boat handling experience to operate launch if they decide to pursue licensing.
