Job Description
Job Title:
RTC Material Handler Job Description As a RTC Material Handler, you will be responsible for receiving, inspecting, and certifying incoming and outgoing cylinders. You will use hand tools to refurbish cylinders and assist supervisors in tracking production inventory. You will also be required to complete necessary paperwork related to production reports, downtimes, and inspections, while actively participating in a culture that prioritizes health and safety. Responsibilities Receive, inspect, and certify incoming and outgoing cylinders. Use hand tools to scrape paint and refurbish cylinders. Assist supervisors with tracking incoming and outgoing production inventory. Complete paperwork related to production reports, downtimes, and inspections. Participate in a health and safety culture to ensure a safe practicing environment. Essential Skills General labor and warehouse distribution skills. Packaging and computer operation skills. Ability to lift up to 50lbs and stand for extensive periods. Ability to read and write effectively. High School diploma or GED. Manufacturing, inspecting, tagging, lifting, production, labor, refurbishing, and scraping skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications Fork Lift experience preferred. Able to operate hand held tools. Basic computer and math skills. Ability to meet performance goals (KPI). Willingness to work overtime when necessary. Understand measurement readings (pressure gauges, scales, etc.). Why Work Here? Work Environment You will work in a non-climate controlled industrial manufacturing environment with shifts from 5:00 AM to 3:00 PM or 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM, Monday through Friday. All new employees must wear steel-toed shoes from day one. Dress code includes work pants or jeans, short sleeve tees or jackets (no shorts or sleeveless). We provide vests, glasses, and gloves. Employees may wear neon yellow tees or jackets without a vest if preferred. Due to limited nearby food options, you may want to pack a lunch. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rhome, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
