Job Description

POSITION PURPOSE
Receiving, Shipping, Customer Service, Inventory and Quality Control.
ESSENTIAL PURPOSE
1. Customer Service A. Provide timely and friendly service to customers and drivers. B. Accurately pull and double check order accuracy. C. Communicate opportunities or issues to management. 2. Inventory and Quality Control A. Timely and accurate daily transactions of receiving, shipping, and billing. Perform inventory and cycle counts as required. B. Proper handling of inventory to prevent damage. Proper inspections of all shipments to ensure any damage, omission, inaccuracy, etc. are noted at time of receipt in writing on freight bill. C. Secure and control access to warehouse and inventory. Nothing leaves without proper paperwork and signatures. 3. Facility Maintenance A. Make sure warehouse is organized, clean, and well kept. Make sure product is put away in designated area in a safe and reliable manner. B. Assist warehouse manager in ensuring needed maintenance of building and vehicles. C. Ensure building is open/closed/ secured. Ensure we are following established policies including emergency action plan, fire and safety procedures, first aid kits, and forklift training.
PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENTS
1. Accuracy of physical inventory. 2. Condition of warehouse and inventory. 3. Ability to achieve customer satisfaction. 4. Ability to be a team player and assist warehouse management in achieving goals.
QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION
High school graduate or equivalent.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE
Material handling, forklift/clamp operation
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Prior experience in warehouse or distribution setting is preferred
SKILLS/ABILITIES
Material handling, forklift/clamp operation, ability to communicate effectively (written/oral)
COMPUTER SKILLS
Basic knowledge of computers and printers required. Location may dictate use of RF scanners.
PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS OF THIS POSITION
REPETITIVE MOTION:
Moderate TALKING:
Moderate interaction with drivers, employees, and customers. Must provide friendly service.
AVERAGE VISUAL ABILITES
Must be able to safely operate motor vehicle and read small item numbers.
AVERAGE HEARING
Must be able to effectively communicate orally with customers and employees as well as hear horns and other safety measures.
PHYSICAL STRENGTH
Must be able to lift 50+ lbs.
WORKING CONDITIONS
No hazardous or significantly unpleasant conditions.
MENTAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS OF THIS POSITION
