Job Description

ES AMER ARS PDCAD
division is currently seeking a Material Handler I, Fabrication - 2nd Shift. The rate for this position is $18.11 per hour plus a $1.00 per hour shift differential. The core hours are Monday through Thursday from 3:00pm until 1:00 am. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. ## What you'll do: The Material Handler receives and issues raw materials, assemblies, sub-assemblies, tools, and supplies while ensuring all required paperwork is forwarded to computer services for data entry. The role supports planners and buyers with material availability processes and is responsible for boxing, packing, and shipping finished products and raw materials as appropriate.- Contributes to a safe, engaged, and inclusive work culture by following all policies, including proper use of personal protective equipment, safe operation of equipment, and completion of 5S duties.
- Uses a variety of material handling equipment and hand tools to load and unload trucks in the receiving area and to place materials in designated bin locations or deliver them to work centers.
- Identifies opportunities for process improvement and performs root cause analysis for quality or production issues.
- Maintains quality standards by conducting visual inspections prior to shipment, identifying nonconforming parts, and troubleshooting errors.
- Cross-trains and provides coverage for other roles and job functions as needed.
- Utilizes supply chain tracking systems to manage and maintain inventory.
- Operates a forklift to move and load materials and/or gear.
- Operates a gantry-style overhead crane for gear loading and shipment.
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.

- No relocation benefit is being offered for this position.
Prefered Qualifications:
- 3 months of industrial manufacturing experience
- 3 months of experience operating a powered industrial vehicle (e.g., forklift)
- 3 months of experience utilizing Eaton system controls including material management (DMM) and MRP/ERP (AS400)
- 3 months of experience using hand and air tools.
- South Carolina Manufacturing Certification (SCMC) or equivalent
Position Criteria:
- Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as business needs require.
- Ability to safely use hand and power tools, step ladders, and cranes to assemble products and verify quality in a Lean environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication, persuasive abilities, and analytical problem solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals and teams in a collaborative environment. Physical Demands
- Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, reach at or above shoulder level, grip, and use hands for handling and feeling.
- Frequently required to stoop, lift, carry, push, and pull.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs., and push/pull 50 lbs. or more with or without accommodation
- Vision requirements include near and far vision, depth perception, and color discrimination. Work Environment
