Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our dynamic warehouse team. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently managing the movement, storage, and distribution of materials within the warehouse environment. Your expertise in warehouse operations, heavy equipment operation, and inventory management will ensure seamless logistics flow and support our overall production and shipping processes. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong mechanical skills, adherence to safety protocols, and a proactive approach to materials handling. Schedule 12-Hour Shift | 2-2-3
Rotation Night Shift:
7:45 PM - 8:00 AM Work 2 days on, 2 days off, then 3 days on (every other weekend off) Duties Load and unload materials using various heavy equipment such as forklifts, clamp trucks, and pallet jacks, ensuring safe and efficient handling. Operate warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners for accurate order picking, inventory tracking, shipping, and receiving. Pick orders accurately using pick methods and prepare items for shipment or storage. Conduct manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting and stacking of materials while adhering to OSHA safety standards. Manage shipping and receiving processes by verifying incoming and outgoing shipments against documentation. Maintain organized storage areas, ensuring proper placement of materials for easy access and inventory control. Assist in inventory counts, cycle counts, and reconciliation to ensure stock accuracy. Support warehouse supervisors in implementing safety protocols and maintaining compliance with OSHA regulations. Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, clamp trucks, load & unload trucks, and mechanical tools with proficiency. Collaborate with team members to optimize warehouse operations for efficiency and safety. Requirements Proven experience in warehouse distribution, shipping & receiving, or related roles within a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated ability to operate heavy equipment including forklifts, cranes, pallet jacks, clamp trucks, and load & unload machinery. Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, inventory management practices, and order picking procedures. Strong manual handling skills with the ability to lift heavy loads safely. Basic math skills for measurements, weight calculations, and inventory adjustments. Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and safety protocol adherence in warehouse settings. Mechanical knowledge or construction experience is advantageous for equipment maintenance understanding. Previous experience in warehouse supervisor roles or managing warehouse operations is a plus. Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a physically demanding environment while maintaining attention to detail.
