Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Crown Cherry Picker Operator to join our dynamic warehouse team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating specialized equipment such as cherry pickers, reach trucks, and forklifts to efficiently pick, load, and unload products within a busy distribution environment. Your expertise will ensure safe handling of materials, accurate inventory management, and smooth warehouse operations. Responsibilities Operate cherry pickers, reach trucks, forklifts, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently in accordance with OSHA and company safety protocols. Pick orders accurately using barcode scanning technology and ensure correct items are selected for shipment or storage. Load and unload materials from trucks using appropriate equipment such as pallet jacks, clamp trucks, or Hi-Lo forklifts. Maintain inventory accuracy through proper stock rotation, cycle counting, and updating the warehouse management system. Conduct routine equipment inspections and perform minor repairs or report maintenance needs promptly to minimize downtime. Follow shipping and receiving procedures to ensure timely processing of goods while adhering to safety standards. Assist in warehouse organization by managing materials handling tasks including heavy lifting and manual handling activities. Support warehouse distribution operations by coordinating with supervisors on order priorities and stock replenishment. Ensure compliance with warehouse safety standards including forklift safety protocols and OSHA regulations. Collaborate with team members to optimize warehouse workflows and improve overall efficiency. Qualifications Proven experience operating cherry pickers, reach trucks, forklifts, or similar heavy equipment within a warehouse setting. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), barcode scanning for logistics, and inventory control processes. Knowledge of materials handling techniques including manual handling, heavy lifting, and proper use of pallet jacks or clamp trucks. Understanding of shipping & receiving procedures along with basic math skills for inventory counts and measurements. Ability to adhere strictly to safety standards such as OSHA regulations and forklift safety protocols. Prior experience in warehouse operations or distribution centers is highly preferred. Strong attention to detail combined with effective communication skills. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting tasks regularly in a fast-paced environment.
