Job Description
Warehouse Associate Job Summary We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to join our Warehouse Department. This role is responsible for safely and accurately receiving, storing, picking, and moving inventory while maintaining excellent inventory accuracy and meeting daily operational goals. The ideal candidate is a motivated team player with experience of operating material handling equipment, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to workplace safety and efficiency. This position reports directly to the Warehouse Manager. Responsibilities Safely operate various types of material handling equipment, including narrow aisle reach trucks and stand-up lifts, to pick orders and put away inventory Maintain accurate inventory levels through proper handling, storage, and documentation of materials Perform daily cycle counts and assist with inventory control activities Pick, stage, and prepare customer orders for shipment according to company standards Receive, inspect, and properly store incoming inventory Follow all safety policies, procedures, and OSHA requirements to maintain a safe work environment Complete required training, certifications, and equipment assessments Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and shipping software to complete daily tasks Work collaboratively with warehouse team members to meet productivity and accuracy goals Perform additional warehouse duties and responsibilities as assigned Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework or degree preferred 3-5 years of warehouse experience operating material handling equipment preferred Experience operating narrow aisle reach trucks, stand-up lifts, forklifts, or similar warehouse equipment strongly preferred Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control processes preferred Knowledge of distribution operations, including receiving, inventory management, order fulfillment, and shipping processes Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and shipping software applications Strong math, problem-solving, and analytical skills Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment Strong attendance record and reliable work history Key SkillsCompetencies High integrity and strong work ethics Safety-focused mindset Self-motivated with the ability to identify and resolve issues proactively Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong organizational and time-management skills Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines Physical RequirementsWork Environment Work performed in a warehouse environment with extended periods of standing, walking, and operating equipment Ability to safely work in varying warehouse conditions, including exposure to hot and cold temperatures depending on seasonal conditions and operational areas Ability to lift, carry, push, and move materials weighing up to 100 pounds Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment for extended periods Must be able to follow safety procedures and maintain awareness of surroundings Why Join Our Team?
