As a Material Handler / Tugger Operator , you will play a key role in ensuring materials are transported safely and efficiently throughout the facility. Important Eligibility Requirements This position is located inside the Honda facility in Timmonsville, SC. Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain site access (badge eligibility required). Applicants who have previously worked at this facility, with any company, must have separated in good standing, including providing a proper two-week notice, to be considered for rehire. Responsibilities As a Material Handler / Tugger Operator , your duties will include: Safely move recyclable and chemical materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, tugger equipment, and dock loaders. Review production schedules, customer orders, work orders, and shipping documents to determine material movement requirements. Accurately track and record quantities of materials received, transported, and distributed. Load, unload, and transport materials throughout the facility while maintaining productivity and safety standards. Perform routine equipment inspections and maintain equipment in clean, safe working condition. Report maintenance or service needs promptly. Follow all company policies, operating procedures, and safety regulations. Support warehouse and production operations as needed. Forklift certification may be required. Qualifications Previous experience in material handling, warehouse operations, or heavy equipment operation required. Experience operating forklifts, reach trucks, clamp trucks, or similar equipment. Ability to safely operate tugger equipment in a manufacturing environment. Familiarity with warehouse management systems and distribution center processes. Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and industry best practices. Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety. Mechanical aptitude preferred; rigging or crane operation experience is a plus. Shipping, receiving, inventory control, or warehouse supervision experience is beneficial. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
