- Greenville is seeking a safe, knowledgeable, and proactive Material Handler / Forklift Operator for a leading manufacturing facility for our customer in the Furman/Travelers Rest area .
- Material Handler Primary Responsibilities include: Your main responsibility is the timely movement, preparation, and staging of materials , ensuring production lines never experience downtime due to missing stock.
Forklift Operations:
Safely operate a powered industrial forklift to retrieve materials, transport product, and load/unload outbound trucks.Line Support:
Retrieve and deliver raw materials to active production areas on time to keep work flowing smoothly across the floor.Machine Assistance:
Assist operators with changing out raw material supplies and performing machine color changes as scheduled.Equipment Maintenance:
Clean machines, grinders, and material conveyors regularly to prevent contamination and maintain a safe workspace.Inventory Verification:
Verify received materials against purchase orders and shipping documents for 100% accuracy.Packaging & Staging:
Package, label, organize, and stack finished product boxes on skids, preparing them safely for warehouse storage or outbound shipping.Material Handler Requirements include:
Required Experience:
1+ years of proven forklift experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment.Certification:
Active or prior forklift operator certification with a strong track record of safe equipment handling.Physical Capabilities:
Ability to stand, bend, and frequently lift up to 50 lbs. without restrictions.Technical & Computer Skills:
Basic computer skills required for logging inventory data, along with general mechanical and mathematical aptitude. Attention toDetail:
