00 per hour Temp to Perm Various Shifts Available Industry manufacturing & production (Production Occupations) Reference number S_179079 Spherion Sioux Falls has openings for Material Handlers. This position will perform all the material handling responsibilities between the Printing and Finishing Departments.
Pay:
$19-20/hour
DOE and Shift Responsibilities:
  • Work with printing and finishing teams to follow their schedules in order to meet all material handling responsibilities
  • Stage loads from press finish lines
  • Pallet management to include pallet removal and placement for palletizing
  • Stretch-wrap loads to prepare for shipment
  • Corrugate at packing end of gluers
  • Palletize and wrap the roll cores for transportation
  • Load roll cores on scrap trailer
  • Dispose of printed waste once the teams have documented the waste
  • Help teams keep area neat and clean: sweep, re-pile pallets, fix broken pallets, etc.
  • Complete daily forklift maintenance and communicate problems to warehouse crew
  • Take window's loads over to appropriate finishing lines
  • Weekend responsibility to remove bales
  • Notify warehouse when dumpster is full
  • Be able to work scheduled hours Working hours:

Qualifications:
  • High School/GED diploma
  • Certification to operate a forklift in a safe and proper manner
  • Ability to work well with little direct supervision
  • Mechanically inclined
  • Ability to lift 60 lbs
  • Have good organizational skills
  • Able to train other people how to do your job
  • Be able to follow procedures
  • Must be self-motivated
  • Be willing and able to work any shift and overtime when needed
  • Read, write, and understand English
  • Working knowledge of basic math
