Job Title:
General Production Assembler Job Description This role focuses on assembling components according to detailed work instructions and operating production equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will handle parts and materials, load and unload tanks from paint systems, and use a variety of hand and power tools while consistently following established safety, quality, and work standards. Responsibilities Assemble mechanical and production components precisely following written work instructions and standard operating procedures. Load and unload tanks and parts from paint systems, ensuring correct handling and placement of materials. Operate manual and automated hand tools safely and efficiently to complete assembly and production tasks. Set up and operate production equipment and machinery in accordance with safety and quality guidelines. Perform general labor and production line duties, including material handling and basic machine operation. Use tape measures and other basic measuring tools to verify part dimensions and ensure product accuracy. Follow all safety protocols, quality standards, and work procedures to maintain a safe and efficient work area. Maintain a clean and organized work station and support continuous improvement efforts on the production floor. Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively to meet production goals and schedules. Adhere to attendance and performance expectations required for eligibility for bonuses and pay increases. Essential Skills Experience in assembly, general labor, or general production in a manufacturing environment. Ability to perform mechanical assembly using hand tools and power tools. Proficiency in basic machine operation and production equipment setup. Ability to read and use a tape measure accurately for measurements and quality checks. Capability to safely operate forklifts or similar material-handling equipment, if required. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions consistently. Ability to work 2nd shift with start times in the evening and end times up to 1:30 AM. Ability to stand and walk for long periods with frequent bending and reaching. Ability to lift 50-75 pounds with or without assistance. Ability to work in varying temperature conditions in a non-climate-controlled environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications At least 6 months of manufacturing experience preferred. Previous experience in construction, assembly line work, or machine operation is beneficial. Comfort using a variety of hand tools, power tools, and basic measuring devices. Reliability in attendance and performance to maintain eligibility for incentive programs. Willingness to learn new equipment and processes and adapt to changing production needs. Why Work Here? Employees operate hand and power tools, production machinery, and may use forklifts or other material-handling equipment as needed. The environment emphasizes adherence to safety and quality standards while maintaining an efficient, high-output production setting. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Ashland City, TN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
