Job Description

Job Summary Dal-Tile is currently seeking an intermediate level Material Handler to join our TEAM! As a material handler we need someone that is experienced in stocking, checking, wrapping, and loading and unloading materials.
Primary Objective:
Operates various powered industrial trucks to pick customer orders and conveys orders to packing station or shipping area. The shift is from 4:30 PM to 1:00 AM, with the possibility of overtime depending on workload.
Major Function and Scope:
Performs a variety of warehouse duties such as pull/assemble customer orders, check outbound orders for accuracy/completeness, inventory stock checks, restock and label vendor product, maintain displays (tools, caulk, etc.), move, store, and replenish material, and conduct daily cycle counts. Performs receiving duties such as receive and unload inbound material, process inbound shipments, stock material, process customer returns and notify management of damaged shipments for freight claims. Operates forklift equipment. Maintains clean and organized facility by sweeping, trash removal, restroom and general office maintenance, etc. Maintains a safe working environment by obeying all safety rules as outlined in the Safety Program and by reporting all accidents, unsafe conditions and acts to Management. Performs other related duties as required. Ability to complete work in and uncontrolled climate environment.
Experience and Knowledge Required:
High School diploma or equivalent experience 1 or more years previous distribution/warehouse experience. Preferred but not required previous stand-up forklift or order picker equipment experience. Training and certifications will be offered for all pieces of equipment Certified Forklift Operator (preferred).
Competencies:
Good oral and written communications skills. Good record keeping skills. Good listening skills. Accurate measurement capability. Ability to understand and speak basic English. Ability to work in a safe and conscientious manner.

While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to stand, use hands, and reach with hands and arms. The associate is required to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The associate may be required to sometimes sit, climb or balance. The associate may lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
