What You'll Get To Do The Material Handler in our Material Handling Department is focused on delivering quality material from our finishing departments and keeping stock metal separated and placed in the proper location and reports to the Packing Department Manager. This role is perfect for an individual who has attention to detail. A vital member of the Material Handling Department, this is an opportunity to build a career with an industry leader.
Job Responsibilities:
Handling of metal according to the standardized process by the assigned department Ensure quality in the process including verification of the part, quantities, quality, finish, and the correct length of the metal. Pushing/moving of buggies of metal What We Are Looking For Strong attention to detail and ability to work at a fast pace. Basic computer skills for data entry. Self-motivated, safety-focused, and a team player. Willingness to wear required PPE (gloves, safety glasses, ear plugs, hard hat, cut-resistant sleeves, steel-toe boots with met guard). Must be able to maintain departmental production and quality standards with little supervision. Teamwork is essential, must be able to work closely and effectively communicate with coworkers. Must be able to make simple mathematical calculations and learn to complete a packing report.
