Modern Forge, Piney Flats, TN, is accepting applications for a Material Handler. You will be responsible for operating forklift to move part tubs away from units and bring steel to units when needed. You will also be responsible for weigh counting of part tubs, recording counts and then placing in staging area for Heat Treat. Additionally, you will assists in set-ups and transports forge dies to and from hammer as needed. After 30 days of service, you become eligible for company paid holidays. After 3 months of service, you become eligible for participation in our medical, dental, vision, and 401K coverage. After 6 months of service, you are eligible for vacation pay. Responsibilities Receives work instructions from supervision Supplies raw steel bar to units as required Removes forged parts from units as required and weigh counts and records count in PLEX. Weights are done manually and requires exiting and entering the Forklift to complete. Transports forgings from scale area to staging area for Heat Treat Verifies proper tagging accompanying forgings Unloads various pieces of small equipment such as dies, chutes, etc. and delivers as necessary to the hammers or other areas as needed Daily inspects Forklift truck Keeps work area in clean and orderly manner at all times Follow all safety procedures Requirements and Qualifications High school diploma or GED is required. Relevant experience preferred. 2 years forklift experience in a extremely fast paced environment.
