Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
The Molding Material Handler is responsible for supporting the daily execution of Molding operations by ensuring materials, equipment, and production areas are prepared, maintained, and aligned with operational requirements. This position supports the Molding Working Lead and department leadership in meeting safety, quality, productivity, and housekeeping expectations while helping maintain a consistent and efficient production flow.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Adhere to all company policies, procedures, safety standards, and regulatory requirements. Maintain adequate material flow by filling hoppers and dryers in support of active production schedules. Empty grinders and manage regrind material in accordance with department expectations. Prepare upcoming production materials by pre-drying materials as required to support scheduled mold changes and production needs. Clean material loaders, grinders, and related equipment during color changes, material changes, and mold changeovers. Verify molding machines are clean, prepared, and ready for startup. Confirm auxiliary equipment is properly positioned and available to support efficient startup and production continuity. Maintain organization, cleanliness, and overall appearance of material storage and production areas. Operate a forklift safely and responsibly when required to support material movement and production needs. Move finished product to the appropriate inventory or staging location as directed. Escalate safety, housekeeping, material, or equipment concerns to leadership in a timely manner. Perform additional duties as assigned by the Working Lead, or management team. Provide operational support and assume appropriate department responsibilities when the Working Lead is not present.QUALIFICATIONS

Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and ability to work with production-related equipment. Ability to understand, interpret, and follow written and verbal instructions. Ability to learn, retain, and apply operational procedures and department expectations. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to respond quickly and effectively to operational needs. Basic math skills required. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications preferred. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team-oriented manufacturing environment. Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced production environment with changing priorities. Ability to lift to 50 pounds as required by the position. Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy, consistency, and safety. Willingness and availability to work extended hours and/or overtime as business needs require. Ability to learn forklift operation; forklift certification or prior forklift experience preferred. Minimum of one year of experience in injection molding material handling preferred.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

This position operates in a manufacturing environment and requires regular interaction with molding, material handling, and production equipment. The employee is expected to follow all safety practices, wear required personal protective equipment, and maintain awareness of surrounding equipment, material movement, and production activity.PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical requirements outlined below are representative of those necessary to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand for the duration of the shift and must be able to bend, twist, push, pull, grasp, and lift material weighing up to 50 pounds or more as required. The employee is regularly required to communicate verbally and listen effectively. Specific vision abilities required include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
