Job Description
Overview:
Material Handler position in a fast paced warehouse operation supporting just in time delivery for an automotive manufacturing facility. Prefer a minimum of 2 years experience operating various types of forklift and tug material handling equipment. Prefer a self-starter who is hardworking, highly motivated and able to work under little supervision. Prefer an excellent communicator who is able to follow directions efficiently and provide feedback in a timely manner. You must have some basic computer skills. We are a highly customer focused organization; as a result, overtime is required to meet business needs. The starting pay for night shift positions is $19/hr and advances to $25.05/hr. We offer progressive wage increases with our hourly technicians receiving wage increases every six months until a top-out rate is reached. Load and unload freight using equipment in an efficient and safe manner. Move product to warehouse and/or production line areas with proper equipment. Efficiently stack and store material in designated area. Check or count freight for accuracy and/or damage. Perform labeling, sorting, wrapping, packing, and repacking. Able to meet production standards. Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work environment. Perform duties outside of their normal responsibilities, as needed. Ability to pay close attention to details and meet deadlines. Comply with OSHA standards, report all safety malfunctions on equipment and any unsafe conditions. Have some basic computer skills.Skills and Experience:
Available to work any shift, to include week-ends. Speak, read and write fluent English Have a verifiable stable work history Successfully complete Chemical screen and thorough background checks to include Criminal History and work history Able to lift up to 25 lbs Hard working with the ability to stay focused and pay attention to detail Safety conscious and able to work well with othersBenefits:
