Job Summary The ideal candidate in this role will perform a wide range of duties in an industrial manufacturing environment. This individual will be responsible for moving products "in and out" of the facility: polymer concrete boxes, covers, and vaults, from designated storage locations in the yard. Also, the material handler will be responsible for loading products "onto and off-of" trucks for daily shipment. Job Responsibilities
  • Follow all safety, environmental, and quality policies and guidelines
  • Actively participate in company's Continuous Improvement Programs
  • Ability to read and interpret Production Work Orders (PWO), Assembly Pick Sheets (Orders), and Bill of Ladings
  • Identify safety hazards in the yard and storage locations
  • Inspect and perform maintenance checks on the forklift, daily & weekly
  • Inspect material, products, or equipment for defects
  • Pick, wrap and stage orders for daily shipment or storage
  • Maintaining accuracy and organization of yard bin locations
  • Perform cycle counts as needed
  • Consolidate pallets as needed
  • Empty dumpsters and scrap bins
  • Other responsibilities may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed Job Requirements
  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience with forklift operations
  • Strong attention to details
  • Basic math skills
  • Good time management
  • Good communication skills
  • Must be able to stand or sit for long durations
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. continuously
