About the Role Wood Manufacturing Company is seeking a motivated Material Handler to join their team. This position plays a vital role in supporting production by stacking pre-defective components on saw racks, keeping racks full, and assisting in all areas of safety, quality, operations, maintenance, and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Stack and organize pre-defective wood components on saw racks to ensure consistent production flow Assist with material movement throughout the facility, including loading and staging wood materials Support safety, quality, and operational goals by following all company policies and procedures Perform basic maintenance and assist with continuous improvement activities Keep work areas clean, organized, and free from hazards Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth operations Physical Requirements Good hand/eye coordination and attention to detail Ability to stand for 8-10 hours per shift Frequent bending, twisting, and turning required Ability to lift to 50 lbs Must be able to work in warm or hot environments during the summer months Qualifications Previous experience in a wood, warehouse, or manufacturing environment preferred Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic Positive attitude and ability to work well with others Commitment to safety and quality standards
