Day Warehouse Selector Overview:
Mr. Greens has proudly grown into one of the largest privately-owned produce distributors in Florida, Georgia and Texas. With deliveries 365-days a year, 7-days a week and multiple runs per day, Mr. Greens has set the gold standard for service. Mr. Greens serves a large variety of clients, including restaurants, hotels, country clubs, caterers, grocery stores and retail outlets.
Summary:
Mr. Greens is looking for highly motivated and dedicated Selectors that can work individually selecting full-case grocery, frozen, and/or perishable products from warehouse pick slots using a pallet jack or other equipment. You will then fit the items on a pallet plastic wrap the bundles, transport pallets to shipping dock and in some cases, load them onto a trailer to delivery to customers. All employees are expected to make safety their top priority.
Accountabilities:
Perform general physical activities load, unload, sort and move products and materials by hand or using basic material handling equipment Perform tasks in multi-temperature environments Select merchandise for shipment and stack on pallet neatly by using a pallet jack or forklift Use a pick sheet to find out individual items inside warehouse Breakdown and restack merchandise from pallets Verify quantity of the products Ensure items pick accurately and safely to prevent damage Keep warehouse tidy by picking up scrap wood, paper, plastic wrappers, and broken pallets Maintaining a food-safe environment Report any damaged equipment to shift supervisor or maintenance staff Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Required to be punctual.
