Full Job Description Basic Qualifications Education/Training:

High school diploma or equivalent required. Regulatory, industry, or job-specific certifications, licenses, or authorizations required to safely and legally perform assigned job duties are preferred, or the ability to obtain and maintain such certifications within the required timeframe. Additional warehouse, inventory control, or MRP system training preferred. Skill(s): Proficient reading, writing, grammar, and mathematics skills; proficient communication skills with the ability to follow written and verbal instructions; Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, and material flow processes; proficient in operating specialized material handling equipment, including turret trucks, clamp trucks, and forklifts; working knowledge of MRP systems, preferably QAD or similar inventory management systems; strong analytical and problem-solving skills; high attention to detail and accuracy; ability to train and mentor less experienced personnel; and ability to prioritize tasks and work independently with minimal supervision.

Working Conditions:

Frequent standing, walking, bending and reaching; lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling materials and products up to 40lbs.; warehouse and/or manufacturing environment with exposure to varying temperatures, noise levels, and moving equipment; operate heavy machinery, power tools, or equipment; and handle hazardous, volatile, or flammable materials; operate a motor vehicle requiring a valid driver's license; and may require occasional overtime and schedule flexibility to support operational requirements.

Experience:

Five (5) or more years of experience in warehouse operations, logistics, inventory control, or material handling. Experience operating specialized warehouse equipment and utilizing MRP inventory systems preferred. General Responsibilities The Material Handler II performs advanced material handling and inventory control functions to support manufacturing, warehouse, and distribution operations. This position serves as a subject matter resource within the warehouse by performing complex inventory transactions, conducting audits and cycle counts, troubleshooting inventory discrepancies, operating specialized equipment, and assisting with the training and development of junior personnel. Work is performed with a higher degree of independence and responsibility than entry-level positions. This position is classified as safety sensitive. Successful candidates must comply with all company safety policies and procedures, including the company's drug- and alcohol-free workplace requirements. Individuals in this role are subject to pre-employment, random, post-incident, and reasonable suspicion drug and alcohol testing, consistent with applicable law and company policy. Violations of these policies may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment. Essential Duties 1. Perform advanced material handling activities, including receiving, storing, transporting, and staging materials throughout the facility. 2. Conduct complex inventory audits, cycle counts, and inventory reconciliation activities to ensure inventory accuracy. 3. Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies and material tracking issues. 4. Operate specialized material handling equipment, including turret trucks, clamp trucks, forklifts, and other warehouse machinery. 5. Process inventory transactions and maintain accurate records using MRP systems such as QAD. 6. Monitor material movement and inventory levels to support production and operational requirements. 7. Coordinate and prioritize material deliveries to production lines and designated work areas. 8. Assist in identifying process improvements related to inventory management, material flow, and warehouse efficiency. 9. Provide on-the-job training, coaching, and guidance to Material Handler I employees and newly hired personnel. 10. Ensure compliance with inventory control procedures, quality standards, and warehouse best practices. 11. Inspect materials, equipment, and storage areas to identify issues affecting safety, quality, or operational performance. 12. Support shipping, receiving, and inventory management activities as required. 13. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. 14. Participate in special inventory projects, warehouse reorganizations, and continuous improvement initiatives. 15. Assist supervisors with operational reporting and inventory-related investigations as assigned. 16. Perform other duties as assigned. 17.
