Packaging (R.T.E)

Job Description:

Position Summary The Packaging Worker is responsible for all operations, set ups, adjustments, record and follow up on his/her equipment and the packaging line. Duties include, but are not limited to: Operating packaging machinery through control panels, computer terminals or other control systems; Set up and adjust packaging equipment; and maintain a safe working environment. Responsibilities

• Responsible for efficiently producing finished products and maintaining the highest possible food safety quality standards
• Set up, operating, and monitoring packaging equipment to ensure the highest level of packing quality at all time and minimize waste
• Make minor adjustments to equipment as needed
• Operate all line equipment in a safe and efficient manner
• Start up, operating, shutdown and making minor machine adjustments of sleever, over wrapper, palletize and related equipment
• Monitoring fill levels, weights and coding equipment, conveyor controls, and sealing equipment
• Notify supervisor of any defective mechanical and or packaging
• Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows safety regulations
• Flexibility to work weekends, shifts and overtime through the completion of scheduled timelines
• Other non-routine duties as assigned
• The ideal candidate will need to have experience in the food industry
• Experience in an automated, fast-paced environment
• Strong physical endurance
• Must be able to read, interpret and comprehend weights, measurements, and mathematical equation
• Be able to effectively understand and adhere to a variety of guidelines and work procedures (including health, safety, hygiene and sanitation), including prioritizing and organizing workload
• Knowledge of GMP's
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Work in cold/wet environment and conditions
• Respect of hygiene and sanitation regulations
