Job Overview Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Warehouse Worker to join our dynamic logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently managing warehouse operations, including the safe operation of various types of heavy equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, and clamp trucks. Your expertise will ensure smooth materials handling, order picking, shipping and receiving, and maintaining safety standards throughout the warehouse. Responsibilities Operate forklifts, reach trucks, Hi-Lo lifts, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently to load, unload, move, and organize materials within the warehouse. Pick and pack orders accurately using order picker equipment and warehouse management systems to fulfill customer orders promptly. Assist with shipping and receiving processes by verifying shipment contents, inspecting equipment for damage, and ensuring proper documentation. Conduct routine equipment inspections and perform basic repairs or coordinate maintenance to ensure operational safety and compliance with OSHA standards. Manage warehouse inventory through proper storage techniques, materials handling procedures, and regular stock audits. Support warehouse management in implementing safety standards in production areas by adhering to manual handling protocols and promoting a safe working environment. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow efficiency and maintain high standards of quality control during heavy lifting and load & unload activities. Experience Proven experience operating forklifts (including lift truck, reach truck, Hi-Lo) and other heavy equipment in a warehouse or distribution setting. Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) for inventory control and order processing. Hands-on experience with order picking using various equipment such as pickers or manual methods. Knowledge of shipping & receiving procedures along with familiarity with OSHA safety standards in production environments. Mechanical aptitude for basic equipment repair and troubleshooting issues related to heavy machinery operation. Demonstrated ability to perform manual handling tasks safely while managing heavy loads with precision. Previous warehouse experience involving materials handling, heavy lifting, load & unload operations, and warehouse distribution processes is highly desirable.
