Industrial Recycling is hiring an experienced Machine Operator for our scrap metal recycling operation in Paris, Texas. Previous experience working in a metal scrap yard or scrap recycling facility is required. Responsibilities Operate excavators, material handlers, loaders, grapples, magnets, and other scrap-processing equipment Load and unload trucks, trailers, and roll-off containers Sort and move ferrous and non-ferrous scrap metal Feed and organize material for processing and shipment Maintain safe working distances around customers, trucks, employees, and equipment Perform daily equipment inspections and report maintenance issues Keep work areas organized and safe Follow all company safety procedures and operating policies Required Experience Previous machine operating experience in a metal scrap yard is required Experience operating excavators, material handlers, loaders, or similar heavy equipment Familiarity with scrap metal handling and sorting Ability to safely work in a fast-paced industrial environment Dependable attendance and reliable transportation Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions Must be able to provide references verifying previous relevant experience Preferred Qualifications Experience operating grapple and magnet attachments Experience loading scrap metal into trailers and containers Knowledge of different grades and types of scrap metal Experience with demolition or industrial recycling operations Job Type Full-time We are looking for an experienced operator who understands the scrap metal industry and can safely and efficiently handle material from day one.
