Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Warehouse Technician to join our logistics and distribution team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in warehouse operations, inventory management, and heavy equipment operation. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to efficient warehouse distribution processes, ensuring timely order fulfillment and adherence to safety protocols. The Warehouse Technician will play a vital role in maintaining accurate inventory levels, operating various material handling equipment, and supporting overall warehouse productivity. Duties Operate warehouse equipment including reach trucks, forklifts, cherry pickers, cranes, pallet jacks, and order pickers to load, unload, stock, and organize inventory efficiently. Manage inventory control through accurate stock counting, data entry into inventory management software, and regular cycle counts to ensure data integrity. Assist in shipping and receiving activities by preparing orders for dispatch, verifying shipment accuracy, and ensuring proper packaging according to safety standards. Support order picking and packing processes to fulfill customer orders accurately and promptly while maintaining quality standards. Maintain compliance with OSHA safety regulations and company safety protocols by utilizing personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhering to safe operating procedures for heavy equipment. Conduct manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting and materials movement while following proper ergonomic practices. Support warehouse management in implementing logistics strategies that optimize space utilization and streamline warehouse operations. Skills Proficiency in operating warehouse material handling equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts, cherry pickers, cranes, pallet jacks, and order pickers. Strong understanding of inventory management systems including Warehouse Management System (WMS) software and AS400 platforms. Knowledge of safety regulations including OSHA standards and best practices for heavy lifting, mechanical operation, and manual handling. Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for inventory counts, measurements, and order processing tasks. Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot minor equipment issues and perform routine maintenance checks. Experience in warehouse distribution, logistics coordination, shipping & receiving processes, and order fulfillment procedures. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in stocking, picking & packing, and inventory control activities. Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members and supervisors within a fast-paced environment.
