$18 hr Job Description This role offers the opportunity to support meaningful work by ensuring critical products reach customers who rely on them, from life‑saving protective equipment to microscopes for classrooms. As a Warehouse Worker focused on receiving and putaway, you operate powered industrial equipment, process customer orders accurately, and place inventory into racking using a cherry picker. You work closely with a team of warehouse colleagues to keep operations running smoothly while maintaining high standards of safety, accuracy, and efficiency. Responsibilities Process customer orders daily to meet service and quality expectations. Work across one or more warehouse process paths, including receiving, picking, packing, putaway, and shipping. Operate a Raymond cherry picker and other powered industrial trucks to move, store, and retrieve products safely. Place items into racking accurately and efficiently, following established putaway procedures. Package and label shipments according to standard operating procedures, including completing documentation requirements for hazardous materials when needed. Use RF scanners and computer systems to accurately track inventory movement and order status. Help ensure inventory is stored properly, organized, and easily accessible. Load and unload materials and products as required to support daily warehouse operations. Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks, including labeling, documentation, and data entry. Follow all safety guidelines while working around heavy material handling equipment and in elevated positions on cherry pickers. Collaborate with a team of warehouse associates and leadership to meet productivity goals and resolve operational issues. Work both independently and as part of a team, identifying and solving problems quickly to keep workflows on track. Stand, walk, stoop, bend, and reach throughout the shift to complete warehouse activities. Essential Skills High school diploma or equivalent. 2+ years of general warehouse experience. Experience operating powered industrial trucks, including order pickers and cherry pickers. Ability to use RF scanners and basic computer systems in a warehouse environment. Ability to stand and move about the warehouse for significant periods of time, including walking, stooping, bending, and reaching. Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in a fast‑paced environment. Ability to work effectively as part of a team and also perform tasks independently. Ability to read and write in English to follow work instructions, labels, and safety information. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience handling hazardous materials, including chemicals, is a plus. Experience with Microsoft Office is a plus. Prior experience as a material handler, loader, or packer is beneficial. Comfort working with scanning equipment, warehouse management systems, and related technology. Strong problem‑solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing operational issues. Willingness to cross‑train in multiple warehouse functions such as receiving, picking, packing, shipping, and putaway. Why Work Here? Work Environment You work in a busy warehouse environment alongside a team of approximately 40 warehouse associates and leadership. The schedule runs Monday through Friday from 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM. The role involves frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching throughout the shift, as well as working around and operating heavy material handling equipment such as Raymond cherry pickers and other powered industrial trucks. You regularly use RF scanners, computer systems, and standard warehouse tools to perform your duties. The environment emphasizes safety, teamwork, and efficiency while handling a wide variety of products. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Dallas, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
