Superior Trades is seeking a Material Handler / Overhead Crane Operator for an immediate need!

$20/hr. - $22/hr. (DoE)

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Operate indoor gantry cranes to move structural steel beams, plates, and assemblies. Safely rig and lift materials using slings, chains, and other rigging equipment. Load, unload, and stage materials for fabrication, welding, and shipping. Deliver materials to production areas to support workflow and efficiency. Ensure proper load balance, stability, and safe handling during all lifts. Communicate with team members during lifts using hand signals or radio. Inspect rigging equipment and report any safety or equipment issues. Maintain organized staging areas and safe work zones.

REQUIREMENTS

Minimum of 2 years of material handling experience in a manufacturing or structural steel environment preferred. Experience operating overhead or gantry cranes strongly preferred. Experience with rigging and handling heavy materials. Strong focus on safety and attention to detail. Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment. Reliable, team-oriented, and consistent.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Indoor manufacturing facility with heavy structural steel materials and overhead cranes. Work performed around welding, fabrication, and production equipment. Exposure to noise and industrial conditions.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the shift. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly. Ability to safely work around heavy steel materials and moving equipment.
