CDL Driver / General Labor KAAB Manufacturing is looking for a dependable CDL Driver / General Laborer to join our team. This is not a full-time driving position . The employee will primarily work at our manufacturing facility performing general labor and material-handling duties and will typically drive approximately one day per week as needed . We are looking for someone who is dependable, safety-conscious, willing to work, and comfortable splitting their time between driving and hands-on work at our trailer manufacturing facility. Responsibilities Operate company trucks and trailers for local and regional deliveries and pickups as needed Drive approximately one day per week, depending on company needs Safely load and unload trailers and materials Properly secure loads for transportation Perform required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections Maintain required driver logs and documentation when applicable Follow all DOT, company, and roadway safety requirements Assist with loading, unloading, and material handling at the facility Move materials, parts, and equipment throughout the shop and yard Perform general labor and shop duties when not driving Assist production employees as needed Maintain a clean and safe work area Help the team meet daily production and shipping goals Qualifications Valid CDL required Acceptable driving record Ability to meet applicable DOT requirements Experience operating trucks and trailers preferred Experience with load securement and transporting trailers, steel, equipment, or similar loads is a plus Ability to safely load and unload materials Ability to operate forklifts or other material-handling equipment is a plus Dependable attendance and punctuality Strong work ethic and willingness to perform general labor Ability to perform physical work in a manufacturing environment Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Schedule Monday-Thursday, 5:00 AM-3:30 PM Our standard schedule is four 10-hour shifts, providing a consistent three-day weekend . Overtime is available as needed based on production, delivery, and pickup requirements. Driving days and hours may vary depending on delivery schedules and company needs. Compensation $21.00-$24.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications. Compensation will reflect CDL classification, driving experience, safety record, load-securement experience, and relevant manufacturing or general labor experience. Job Type Full-time, in-person Important Information About This Position This position is best suited for someone who wants a steady, full-time job and also holds a CDL . This is not an over-the-road or full-time truck-driving position. The majority of the workweek will be spent at KAAB Manufacturing assisting with loading, unloading, material handling, general labor, and other shop or yard duties . Driving will generally be required approximately one day per week , although the frequency may vary depending on deliveries and pickups. Applicants should be willing and able to perform hands-on work when they are not driving.
