Job Overview:
The Warehouse Associate is responsible for accurately picking, packing, shipping, and staging customer orders while supporting the daily operations of the warehouse. This position plays a critical role in ensuring customer orders are fulfilled accurately, efficiently, and safely while maintaining a clean, organized, and productive warehouse environment. The Warehouse Associate works closely with the Warehouse Manager, Inventory Control Manager, Shop Foreman, and Counter Sales team to support customer orders, internal transfers, and overall warehouse operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Order Fulfillment Accurately pick customer orders using pick tickets and inventory scanners. Verify product quantities and part numbers before packing. Stage completed orders for shipment or customer pickup. Maintain high standards of order accuracy and productivity. Communicate inventory shortages or discrepancies to leadership. Packing & Shipping Package products safely to prevent shipping damage. Process shipments using
UPS, USPS, LTL
freight, local delivery, customer pickup, and other approved shipping methods. Prepare shipping labels and required documentation. Assist with scheduling freight shipments and coordinating carrier pickups. Load and unload customer pickups and freight shipments safely. Support intercompany transfer orders and warehouse transfers. Warehouse Operations Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely. Replenish picking locations as directed. Assist with stocking, organizing, and maintaining warehouse locations. Maintain warehouse cleanliness through daily housekeeping and 5S practices. Follow all warehouse SOPs and safety procedures. Inventory Support Participate in cycle counts. Assist with physical inventories and year-end inventory counts. Report inventory discrepancies or damaged products promptly. Help maintain organized inventory locations to support inventory accuracy. Support inventory control initiatives as directed. Team Support Work collaboratively with General Manager, Warehouse Manager, Inventory Control, Fabrication, and Sales teams. Assist other warehouse functions as workload demands. Maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude. Participate in ongoing training and continuous improvement initiatives. Expectations Maintain a strong commitment to safety and quality. Perform work with accuracy, urgency, and attention to detail. Represent the company professionally when interacting with customers or carriers. Take pride in maintaining an organized and efficient warehouse. Demonstrate dependability, accountability, and a willingness to learn. Contribute to a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:
Required High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to safely lift up to 70 pounds throughout the workday. Ability to operate or become certified on forklifts and warehouse equipment. Basic computer skills and ability to learn systems. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Preferred Experience with parcel and freight shipping. Previous warehouse, shipping, distribution, or logistics experience. Experience using Microsoft Business Central or similar ERP systems. Experience in industrial distribution, manufacturing, or hydraulic products. Forklift certification.
