Job Description

Job description: Position Overview We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to join our recycling operations team. The ideal candidate will support the day-to-day flow of incoming and outgoing materials, including electronic waste, surplus equipment, and general recyclables. This role is essential to ensuring safe handling, accurate tracking, and efficient processing of materials within our facility. Key Responsibilities Load, unload, and move pallets, boxes, and equipment safely. Assist with the sortation of incoming materials (electronics, IT hardware, industrial, and medical devices). Palletize and wrap items for storage or outbound shipments. Inventory & Documentation Accurately record weights, counts, and conditions of incoming/outgoing materials. Assist with maintaining inventory logs, labels, and warehouse documentation. Operate pallet jacks, forklifts, or other warehouse equipment (training provided if necessary). Maintain equipment in safe working condition and report issues promptly. Safety & Compliance Follow OSHA safety guidelines and company policies at all times. Properly handle items containing hazardous materials (monitors, batteries, printers, etc.) according to training. Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with recycling standards. Qualifications Previous warehouse experience is preferred, with a strong understanding of warehouse distribution processes. Familiarity with inventory management practices and tools such as RF scanners is a plus. Experience operating equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, and order pickers is strongly preferred. Mechanical knowledge related to equipment operation and maintenance is beneficial. Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs) consistently throughout the shift. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills for effective stocking and order picking. Knowledge of packaging techniques that ensure product integrity during transit is advantageous. A background in manufacturing or construction environments will be considered an asset.
