Assist press operators and ensure each has the correct and needed materials for their jobs. Verify that correct plates were used for work orders.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
: Sets up each Box Operator with materials (cotton, alcohol, rags, whisk-its, etc.). Prioritizes work orders in the plate kanban and prepares the orders for the operators with the appropriate labels and raw materials. Orders correct number of boxes of cartons from the warehouse and works with the management to ensure the inventory is maintained at a proper level. Works closely with the Ethicon BC Department 177 to ensure that all boxes are delivered properly to the appropriate area and in the time required. Verifies that the Ethicon work order matches the MPS work order. Verifies that the printed product was completed successfully (checks that the work order number, item number, expiration date, mode code, raw material used, graphic generated, barcode, and product code are all accurate). Scans the bar codes to ensure that they read correctly. Closes and creates work orders in appropriate systems. Manages sterilization pallet build reports to ensure that all orders have been printed or marked as past due. Creates a packaging slip for each cart that is delivered to the BC area. Maintains safety while using, replenishing, and distributing any chemicals. Performs other job duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
: Six months to one year of related experience highly preferred. Must have basic computer skills (email, word processing, etc.). Must be able to facilitate the floor and assign work based on the needs of the customer. Must be able to work well under pressure. Must be organized and have good time management skills. Must have good mathematical skills and be able to identify numbers easily. Must have good verification skills and be quality conscious. Must be able to maintain good attendance. Must be willing to work overtime as needed; significant overtime may be required during busy periods. Must be able to perform all essential functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodation.
