Job Description

Job Overview This position is responsible for the daily execution of receiving and distributing deliveries and pickups throughout the District in accordance with warehouse orders. Duties 1. Coordinates and executes the delivery and pick up of supplies and equipment to assigned locations. 2. Carries and distributes interdepartmental and U.S. mail to appropriate recipients. 3. Receives all daily deliveries to the warehouse to stage for put away into racking. 4. Pulls and verifies all daily warehouse orders to ensure accuracy and completeness. 5. Completes warehouse inventory counts and enters pertinent data and information in applicable inventory database and systems. 6. Completes Surplus Property deliveries and pickups. 7. Assists with Surplus Property Auction activities including, without limitation, loading, unloading, and set up of surplus property auction. 8. Operates pallet jack and forklift equipment in the retrieval of items and materials. 9. Transports items and materials throughout the District by motor vehicle, as assigned. 10. Interfaces with vendors and internal personnel across the District. 11. Addresses general and routine questions and other matters. 12. Escalates non-routine and complex questions and matters to appropriate department management personnel. 13. Ensures work areas assigned are kept neat and clean at all times. Requirements Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record; experience in heavy equipment operation is essential. Proven warehouse experience with familiarity in warehouse distribution, logistics, inventory management software and warehouse management systems (WMS). Ability to operate material handling equipment including reach trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks, order pickers, and load/unload trucks efficiently. Strong understanding of safety regulations such as OSHA standards; commitment to maintaining a safe work environment. Basic math skills for inventory counts, measurements, and documentation accuracy. Mechanical knowledge related to material handling equipment operation and troubleshooting is a plus. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. Physical stamina for heavy lifting 60+ pounds and manual handling tasks; capable of standing for extended periods.

From $16.17 per hour
