- Accountable for correct information and organization of the warehouse, including updating system and continuously improving the storage system. Continuously improve all aspects of responsible areas.
- Stores material in the proper location. Receives and ships materials accurately and productively. Pulls materials for the shop.
- Point person for providing hands-on inventory management and support to the manufacturing team.
Reports and provides inventory management records as defined.
Minimum Requirements Education:
High school graduate, or
GED Experience:
One to two years Computer skills: Microsoft Office (email, Word, Excel), Quickbooks (preferrable)
Shop Knowledge:
Tape Measure, Forklift past certification, Overhead crane experience,
Tools, Equipment:
Banding, Chains, Cranes, Rigging, Racking, Pallet Jack, Forklift, etc.
Physical Environment:
Shop environment, 75# lifting, climb ladders and onto trucks, interface with shop and office personnel
Skills:
Highly organized, teamwork spirit, time management skills, self-motivated Responsibilities Maintains, creates, and improves organization of material storage in warehouse and shop, to provide ease of picking material, minimal space requirements, and maximum throughput of the shop. Receive material from LTL (box truck), container, flatbed, small to large items. Process stored items in the warehouse (pick, unload, label, make record of storage location, store) Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (load, pack, wrap, label, ship). Participate / lead loading of trucks for outbound shipments - cranes and parts. Make labels. Counts / confirms inventory monthly on assigned parts. Complete diary logs into inventory - report discrepancies. Perform inventory controls and keep quality standards high for audits Checks incoming material against vendor's pack slip. Immediately report any discrepancies in counts or quality of received goods while unloading and receiving material. Consult with management regarding damaged goods found while unloading. Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers Operate, inspect per checklists, and preventively maintain warehouse vehicles, crane, and equipment Pickup and deliver materials, driving company vehicles, as required. Follow safety and quality standards and comply with procedures, rules, and regulations Perform other duties regarding warehouse and material storage management. Keep the outside areas of the property organized. Manage and dump waste on a regular schedule, and as part of a regular process. Requirements Proven warehouse experience with familiarity in warehouse operations, distribution processes, or logistics environments Valid certification or experience operating heavy equipment including reach trucks, forklifts, cranes, pallet jacks, material handling equipment operation, and mechanical knowledge where applicable Strong understanding of inventory management software (such as AS400) and warehouse management systems (WMS) for accurate stock tracking Ability to perform manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting while following safety regulations (OSHA standards) and PPE use protocols Basic math skills for counting, measuring, weighing, and verifying shipments accurately Demonstrated safety protocol adherence with experience in shipping & receiving procedures and materials handling best practices Excellent technical proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory control tools, and order picking/packing equipment Personal attributes include reliability, attention to detail, physical stamina for long shifts on your feet, and a proactive attitude toward safety compliance Join our team today!
