Responsibilities Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, caulking, and applying primer or sealants using hand tools and power tools. Assist with the application of paint using airless spray equipment, brushes, rollers, or other methods suitable for the project scope. Read blueprints and schematics to understand project specifications and ensure accurate execution of tasks such as fixture installation, drywall finishing, or stucco application. Perform basic carpentry duties including framing, trim carpentry, restoration work, and installation of fixtures or hardware. Support demolition and renovation activities by handling demolition debris, assisting with masonry or concrete finishing tasks, and preparing sites for new work. Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols on construction sites; operate hand tools and power tools responsibly. Collaborate with team members on complex projects involving industrial painting, masonry repairs, or remodeling efforts to meet project deadlines efficiently. Qualifications Prior experience in construction estimating or hands-on construction site work is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential. Familiarity with construction painting techniques including residential and commercial applications; knowledge of airless paint spraying is a plus. Ability to read blueprints or schematics; basic math skills for measurements and calculations. Experience with hand tools such as saws, drills, trowels, and caulking guns; proficiency with power tools is advantageous. Knowledge of plastering, stucco application, drywall finishing, or masonry enhances your versatility on the job. Strong understanding of safety procedures on construction sites; ability to operate equipment like scaffolding or forklifts if certified. Excellent physical stamina for standing, lifting heavy materials, climbing ladders or scaffolding during various phases of projects.
