VSS Logistics is seeking an experienced Warehouse Specialist II to join our growing team supporting mission-critical logistics operations. This is not an entry-level position—we're looking for someone who is dependable, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently while supporting multiple warehouse functions as operational priorities shift. As a Warehouse Specialist II, you'll play a key role in maintaining inventory accuracy, supporting warehouse operations, and ensuring material moves efficiently throughout the supply chain. Team members are expected to be flexible, cross-functional, and ready to support wherever needed to meet daily operational requirements. Essential Job Duties Perform daily cycle counts and reconcile inventory discrepancies with a high degree of accuracy. Conduct internal inventory audits to ensure inventory integrity and compliance. Verify and confirm inventory transactions within the warehouse management system. Receive incoming material, inspect shipments, and accurately process receiving documentation. Oversee throughput of receiving dock to minimize bottlenecking of orders and ensure timeliness of processing Pick, stage, pack, and prepare material for shipment while maintaining quality and accuracy standards. Perform shelf-life inspections and manage inventory using First-In, First-Out (FIFO) practices. Maintain warehouse organization through routine bin maintenance and location audits. Assist with maintaining daily warehouse performance metrics and productivity goals. Support warehouse leads in completing nightly throughput objectives. Assist with inventory investigations and help resolve inventory discrepancies. Operate safely while following all company and customer procedures. Maintain accurate documentation and support quality assurance requirements. Cross-train in multiple warehouse functions and provide operational support wherever needed. Assist with onboarding or training less experienced warehouse personnel as assigned. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Perform other warehouse and logistics duties as assigned. Qualifications Ability to successfully complete a contractor-required background investigation. Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening. Minimum of 2 years of experience in warehousing, inventory control, material handling, manufacturing, or logistics. High School Diploma or GED required. Strong computer and data entry skills. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word and Excel). Experience working within inventory management or warehouse management systems preferred. Ability to analyze inventory discrepancies and maintain accurate records. Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail. Excellent attendance, dependability, and work ethic. Ability to prioritize work and adapt to changing operational needs. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while contributing to a team environment. Goal-oriented with the ability to meet daily productivity and quality metrics. Demonstrate accountability, professionalism, and personal integrity.
