Job Description
Shipping & Warehouse AssociateJob Summary We are looking for a dependable and hardworking Shipping & Warehouse Associate to join our team. Under the direction of the Shipping Department Lead, this position is responsible for pulling, packaging, staging, loading, and shipping orders accurately and on time. Responsibilities Locate and move products to fulfill internal and external orders. Inspect products and parts for damage or visual defects while pulling and packing orders. Secure products onto crates, pallets, boxes, and other shipping containers. Build custom crates, pallets, and boxes as needed. Select appropriate packaging materials to help prevent product damage during transit. Enter packing and shipping information into the computer system. Properly label shipments and place them in designated areas. Follow applicable regulations and procedures for shipping hazardous materials. Assist with LTL, FedEx, and UPS shipments. Stage and load trucks for shipment. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area. Identify opportunities to improve quality, cost, safety, delivery, and overall efficiency. Assist in other warehouse or shipping areas as assigned by the Shipping Lead or Supervisor. Requirements Previous forklift operating experience required. Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. and occasionally carry it approximately 20 feet. Comfortable working outdoors and in varying weather conditions. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety. Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic. Physical & Work Environment This position requires frequent standing, walking, lifting, carrying, and moving products and materials. The ability to safely lift up to 70 lbs. is required. Employees may occasionally work outdoors and in various weather conditions.
