Job Description

Position Summary We are seeking a Quality Assurance Technician to join our food manufacturing team. This position is responsible for verifying that products, processes, and production activities consistently meet established quality, food-safety, regulatory, and company requirements. Responsibilities Ensure production activities are completed in accordance with company SOPs, work instructions, food-safety requirements, and applicable regulations. Perform in-process inspections to verify products are manufactured according to established specifications. Verify finished-product specifications and product compliance. Verify metal detector functionality and document required checks. Perform cleaning and sanitation inspections. Provide GMP coaching and training to production personnel as needed. Assist with environmental monitoring activities. Support label control and verify correct product identification and labeling. Support traceability, withdrawal, and recall requirements. Assist with allergen-control activities and prevention of cross-contamination. Identify, document, and control nonconforming product or equipment. Assist with product rework controls. Support SQF verification activities and other food-safety program requirements. Conduct inspections and verification activities objectively and accurately. Perform basic data analysis and maintain accurate quality records. Participate in corrective and preventive action activities, including root-cause analysis. Support internal audit activities. Maintain required documentation and records in accordance with document-control requirements. Communicate quality and food-safety concerns promptly to the appropriate personnel. Perform other duties as assigned by the Quality Manager. Requierements 1-2 years of prior Quality Assurance/Quality experience in the food manufacturing industry is preferred. Direct food-manufacturing quality experience is strongly preferred and may qualify the candidate for the higher end of the pay range. Experience performing inspections, documenting findings, following SOPs, or working with food-safety requirements is highly desirable.
Pay:
