Job Description

Inventory Control position focuses on managing a company's stock levels, ensuring accurate records, and coordinating with production and supply chain teams to maintain optimal inventory. A Material Handler supports this by physically moving, storing, and organizing materials within the warehouse or production area. Together, these roles ensure materials are available when needed, stored safely, and accounted for accurately. Inventory Control - Key Responsibilities Track inbound and outbound inventory to monitor stock levels and movement Reconcile inventory to match computer counts with physical counts Set reorder points based on usage frequency, delivery times, and demand patterns Reorder stock according to PAR (Periodic Automatic Replenishment) levels or company requests Apply inventory control methods such as JIT (Just-in-Time) or FIFO (First-In, First-Out) Coordinate with sales, procurement, and production to ensure timely restocking Material Handler - Key Responsibilities Receive, store, and issue materials from stockrooms or warehouses Move materials to and from storage and production areas. Inspect goods for damage and report discrepancies Packing, labeling, and documenting materials. Maintain clean, safe work areas and follow safety regulations Perform routine inventory audits and physical cycle counts Coordinate with supervisors to manage workflow and task priorities Skills & Qualifications Inventory Control Proficiency with inventory management software or spreadsheets (Fishbowl) Data analysis Strong organizational and attention-to-detail abilities Knowledge of inventory control methods (JIT, FIFO) Ability to work cross-functionally with sales, procurement, and production Material Handler Experience in warehouse or material handling operations Strong physical stamina (able to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods) Ability to follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work area Good communication and teamwork skills Typical Work Environment Warehouse or production facility settings Involves counting, standing, and lifting Fast-paced, often requiring coordination with multiple departments
Pay:
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour
