About Nielsen's Arc Service Nielsen's Arc Service is an established industrial company serving customers throughout the Western United States. As we continue to expand our steel sales and plasma cutting capabilities, we are looking for an organized and motivated Steel Inventory & Inside Sales Coordinator to join our team. This is an in-house position focused on customer service, steel sales, plasma cutting estimates, purchasing, receiving, and steel inventory management. Position Summary The Steel Inventory & Inside Sales Coordinator will serve as a primary point of contact for steel and plasma-cutting customers while maintaining accurate steel inventory and current material pricing. This person will help manage the process from the time steel is purchased and received through quoting, inventory tracking, customer ordering, and final billing. Primary Responsibilities Serve as an inside sales contact for steel and plasma-cutting customers Answer customer calls, emails, walk-in inquiries, and quote requests Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing customers Prepare quotes for steel sales and plasma table jobs Review customer drawings, dimensions, material specifications, and quantities Calculate material requirements and pricing Follow up on open quotes and customer inquiries Enter and process customer orders Coordinate customer pickup and delivery information Maintain accurate steel inventory Track steel by material type, grade, thickness, size, and quantity Receive incoming steel and materials into inventory Verify incoming material against purchase orders and packing slips Maintain applicable material certifications and Mill Test Reports (MTRs) Track steel from receiving through sale or use on a plasma order Track usable remnants and drops Coordinate and perform physical inventory counts Maintain accurate steel inventory information in QuickBooks Update steel costs and selling prices as supplier pricing changes Monitor inventory levels and reorder points Identify materials that need to be purchased Obtain current pricing from steel suppliers Prepare and submit purchase orders Coordinate incoming steel deliveries Maintain vendor and purchasing records Monitor steel pricing and material cost changes Work with Accounting to reconcile physical steel inventory with QuickBooks Maintain organized quote, order, purchasing, receiving, and inventory documentation Assist management with steel sales and inventory reports Coordinate with shop personnel regarding material availability and order status Inside Sales This is an inside sales position , not an outside or traveling sales position. The coordinator will help grow Nielsen's Arc Service's steel and plasma business by providing excellent customer service, responding quickly to quote requests, following up on outstanding quotes, and developing relationships with new and existing customers. Steel & Plasma Estimating The coordinator will be responsible for preparing estimates related to steel sales and plasma table work .

Responsibilities may include:

Reviewing customer drawings and specifications Determining steel type, grade, thickness, dimensions, and quantities Calculating material requirements Calculating plasma cutting requirements Applying current steel costs and appropriate pricing Preparing professional customer quotes Maintaining quote records Following up on outstanding estimates Tracking awarded and lost quotes Reviewing completed orders to improve future estimating accuracy This position will not be responsible for estimating welding or machining jobs. Qualifications Previous experience in one or more of the following areas is preferred: Inside sales Steel or metal sales Inventory management Purchasing Receiving Estimating or quoting Industrial customer service QuickBooks Microsoft Excel Reading basic drawings, dimensions, and material specifications Experience with steel distribution, manufacturing, construction supply, fabrication, or another industrial environment is a plus. Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who is: Highly organized Detail-oriented Comfortable working with numbers and measurements Comfortable communicating with customers Able to manage multiple quotes and orders simultaneously Dependable and self-motivated Able to communicate effectively with customers, vendors, accounting, and shop personnel Comfortable learning steel grades, sizes, thicknesses, and pricing Able to maintain accurate inventory and documentation Schedule Monday-Friday, with occasional Saturdays as needed based on customer orders and business needs. This is an in-house position at Nielsen's Arc Service in Redmond, Utah. Compensation Pay is dependent upon experience and qualifications. Nielsen's Arc Service is looking for someone who can take ownership of our growing steel inventory and inside sales operations while providing excellent service to our customers.

Pay:

$50,965.00 - $80,000.00 per year
