1st Shift Material Handler | Warehouse | Forklift CandyCo LLC Springville, UT Job Details Full-time 10 hours ago Qualifications Lifting equipment Forklift Materials handling Safety standard operating procedures Material handling equipment operation Material handling safety practices Full Job Description Job purpose The Material Handler is responsible for moving, staging, and organizing materials throughout the facility to support production and warehouse operations. This role ensures materials are available in the right place, at the right time, in the right condition. Material Handlers use forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment to safely handle materials while maintaining accurate records and following all safety and food safety protocols. Duties and responsibilities Move, stage, and store raw materials, in-process goods, and finished products Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and related equipment safely Label and document material movement per inventory control procedures Conduct equipment checks and report maintenance needs Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work area Follow daily instructions and adjust to changing production or warehouse priorities Participate in preshift meetings and team huddles Model safe behavior and follow all safety protocols, including PPE use Perform additional tasks as needed to support operations Must be available for flexible scheduling, including weekends and holidays Qualifications Minimum 1 year of forklift experience required (Many roles involve stand-up forklift operation; experience with stand-up trucks is a strong advantage but not required for all positions) Operates material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks or dollies to move stock or reorganize storage. Ability to work and accommodate changing deadlines with a focus on organizational skills and initiative. Ability to maintain high levels of CandyCo requirements. Able to work independently and in a team environment Comfortable using basic warehouse systems, tools, and procedures Working conditions Must be able to work any and all shifts as directed. Must be able to work overtime as necessary, including holidays and weekends. Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time. Must be an avid Safety Champion and adhere to all safety programs and procedures. Physical requirements Must wear non-slip, safety-resistant work shoes. Participation in mandatory pre-shift stretches and exercises. Proper use of required PPE, including hairnets, beard nets (if needed), and safety gloves. Must wear all required PPE when working with equipment or chemicals that require personal protection.
