Overview The Electrical Testing Operations Administrator is an entry-level position designed to support the Electrical Testing team by assisting with administrative, logistical, and field support activities. This role helps reduce the burden on technicians by managing routine tasks, preparing equipment, maintaining organization, and supporting testing operations under direct supervision. This position serves as a developmental role for individuals interested in pursuing a career in electrical testing and commissioning. Successful candidates who demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude, reliability, and a willingness to learn may be considered for advancement into a Test Technician position after approximately six months of satisfactory performance and demonstrated readiness. Responsibilities Support electrical testing personnel with day-to-day administrative and operational tasks.
Assist with the movement, loading, unloading, organization, and inventory of testing equipment, tools, and materials.
Transport equipment between company facilities, job sites, and storage locations as required.
Prepare equipment and work areas before testing activities.
Maintain accurate equipment logs, inventories, and basic documentation.
Assist technicians with low-level field assignments under direct supervision.
Support housekeeping efforts in work areas, vehicles, and equipment storage locations.
Coordinate material pickups, deliveries, and general logistics.
Assist with data entry, report preparation, and other office-related responsibilities.
Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and workplace standards.
Participate in on-the-job training and development activities designed to build knowledge of electrical testing and commissioning processes.
Perform other duties and special projects as assigned. Qualifications 2+ years of demonstrated experience with a High School Diploma or
1+ years with an Associate's Degree
Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
Ability to travel locally between company facilities and project sites as needed.
Ability to lift, carry, and move materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Preferred Qualifications Technical school coursework, vocational training, or coursework related to electrical, mechanical, industrial, or construction trades.
Previous experience in construction, warehouse operations, facilities maintenance, manufacturing, mechanical trades, or field services.
Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and interest in hands-on technical work. Desired Characteristics Strong interest in developing a career in electrical testing, commissioning, or field services.
Mechanically inclined with an eagerness to learn new technical skills.
Positive attitude and willingness to support team needs.
Dependable, punctual, and safety conscious.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work independently on assigned tasks while taking direction from senior technicians.
