Description:
AmeriStaff is currently recruiting a Warehouse Parts Clerk for an organization in Danville, VA. This position is responsible for receiving, organizing, locating, and providing automotive and equipment parts to mechanics for a fleet of vehicles and equipment. The fleet includes passenger vehicles, trucks, tractors, and heavy equipment. The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, and knowledgeable vehicle parts professional who can quickly identify and locate parts, research and order hard-to-find items, maintain accurate inventory, and provide excellent support to mechanics responsible for keeping the fleet operational. Pay Range:
 $15.80-$18.95 per hour, based on experience and qualifications Responsibilities of the
Warehouse Parts Clerk:
Provide parts and supplies from the warehouse to mechanics performing repairs and maintenance on the fleet vehicles and equipment. Identify and locate automotive, truck, tractor, and heavy equipment parts based on mechanic requests. Research parts using available catalogs, computer systems, and other resources when parts are not readily available. Identify, source, and order special-order parts as needed. Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with inventory control. Receive, inspect, organize, and properly store incoming parts and materials. Monitor inventory levels and assist with identifying parts that need to be reordered. Maintain an organized and clean parts warehouse. Enter and retrieve information using computer systems and Microsoft Office applications. Communicate effectively with mechanics, vendors, and other employees. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications of the
Warehouse Parts Clerk:
Previous automotive parts experience is required. Experience in an automotive parts store, dealership parts department, fleet operation, or similar environment is preferred. Knowledge of automotive parts, vehicle systems, and parts identification. Ability to research and identify parts and determine appropriate replacement options. Basic computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good communication and customer service skills. Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds. Ability to work the scheduled 2nd-shift hours, Monday through Friday. #
