Job Description
Job Summary The Shop/Warehouse Assistant is responsible for maintaining an organized, clean, and efficient warehouse and shop environment while supporting daily operations. This position ensures company equipment, products, and materials are properly maintained, stocked, and distributed to employees and company locations. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-conscious, organized, and able to perform physically demanding work in a fast-paced environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Clean, organize, and maintain the warehouse, stock room, shop, and surrounding work areas. Wash and maintain company vehicles to ensure they remain clean and presentable. Clean, inspect, organize, and maintain rodent stations, termite stations, and other reusable pest control equipment. Inspect, troubleshoot, and perform minor repairs on sprayers and other equipment; report major repairs to management. Receive, inspect, verify, and properly store incoming shipments, products, and supplies. Pull, stage, and prepare product orders for technicians and office personnel. Assist with inventory counts and notify management when stock levels are low. Prepare and submit product orders to maintain adequate inventory levels. Safely operate a forklift and other warehouse equipment in accordance with company safety policies. Load and unload products, equipment, and materials from company vehicles and delivery trucks. Transport products, equipment, materials, and packages between storage facilities, vendors, and other designated locations. Dispose of damaged, expired, or unusable products according to company procedures and applicable regulations. Ensure all chemicals and products are stored safely and in compliance with company policies and applicable regulations. Maintain shop tools and equipment in good working condition. Assist with seasonal projects, warehouse reorganizations, and facility improvements. Perform other duties as assigned by management. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous warehouse, shop, inventory, or shipping/receiving experience preferred. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Ability to operate hand tools and warehouse equipment safely. Physical Requirements Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 75 pounds. Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, squat, climb, and reach for extended periods. Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the workday. Working Conditions Warehouse and shop environment with exposure to varying temperatures. Frequent lifting, carrying, and moving of products and equipment. Exposure to cleaning supplies, pest control equipment, and regulated products while following all safety procedures. Performance Expectations Success in this position is measured by: Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe warehouse and shop. Ensuring technicians receive accurate and timely product orders. Maintaining adequate inventory levels and minimizing shortages. Keeping equipment clean, functional, and ready for use. Receiving and processing deliveries accurately and efficiently. Demonstrating reliability, teamwork, and a strong work ethic. Following all company safety procedures and operational policies.
