Job Description

Position Description Warehouse Associate-2nd Shift Why Sauer Brands Strong History, Solid Future Founded in 1887, Sauer Brands Inc. has been at the forefront in its industry. Today, we offer an exceptional suite of products consisting of mayonnaise, pourable salad dressings, condiments, sauces, spices, extracts and flavorings. Our celebrated products consist of Duke's Mayonnaise, Spice Hunter, Kernel Season's and Sauer Brands.
Overall Goal of Position:
Works in the Raw Goods or Finished Goods warehouse in support of Supply Chain, Production and/or Customer Service.
Job Summary:
Primary focus is to support the Supply Chain and Production by receiving, storing, moving and distributing material/product, and/or supporting Customer Service by moving, packaging and shipping orders for customers.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Raw Goods:
Reads production schedule, work order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed Fills requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distributes items to production workers or assembly line Conveys materials and items from Raw Goods to Production areas or to other designated areas Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code Marks materials with identifying information Records amount of materials or items received or distributed Weighs or counts items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards Arrange materials in specified sequence for use by other workers Uses computer, barcode scanner and/or other devices to record material transactions Drives vehicle to transport stored items from warehouse to plant or to pick up items from several locations for shipment Maintains inventory records on paper and/or in ERP system Perform other duties as assigned.
Finished Goods:
Reads customer order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or packaged for distribution Conveys product and items from production areas to storage or to other designated areas Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves, or conveys orders to packing station Uses computer, barcode scanner and/or other devices to record material transactions Compiles worksheets or tickets from customer specifications Drives vehicle to transport stored items from warehouse to plant or to pick up items from several locations for shipment Prepares parcels for mailing
Culture Building:
Support Warehouse Supervisor in any/all warehouse activities and programs necessary for developing the desired company culture Support Our Recipe by demonstrating a positive, team-oriented and customer-focused attitude Performance Standards (the criteria that will be used to evaluate performance): Receiving Logs Logs kept current/accurate and in compliance with accepted dept standards Receiving documents are delivered to warehouse manager for reconciliation Shipping Logs Logs kept current/accurate and in compliance with accepted dept standards Logs/ shipping documents delivered to warehouse manager for reconciliation Attendance Minimal missed shifts Open communication with dept manager Culture Building Organizational Health KPIs for OurRecipe What you do and how you act Leadership and contribution to overall success of SBI Personal Effectiveness-meeting timelines and productivity requirements (quantity and quality of work) Personal interaction, communication, and teamwork with internal and external parties, consistent with OurRecipe@

Education & Experience:
High School diploma or GED required, Associates degree from college or technical school preferred 3-5 year prior experience or training preferred Equivalent combination of schooling and experience accepted
Other:
Must have proven experience and be able to drive electric forklifts and pallets jacks Able to lift 30 pounds repeatedly What Is In It For You?
