Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Warehouse Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of our warehouse, focusing on tasks such as order picking, shipping and receiving, and materials handling. This position requires a strong understanding of warehouse distribution processes and the ability to operate various equipment safely and effectively. Duties Operate warehouse equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, cranes, and clamp trucks to load and unload materials. Perform order picking duties using RF scanners to ensure accurate inventory management. Assist in shipping and receiving processes, ensuring that all incoming and outgoing shipments are handled efficiently. Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with OSHA standards. Execute heavy lifting tasks as required, handling materials up to specified weight limits. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow and improve operational efficiency. Utilize warehouse management systems for tracking inventory levels and order statuses. Participate in regular safety training sessions to enhance mechanical knowledge and equipment operation skills. Requirements Previous experience in warehouse distribution or similar roles is preferred. Familiarity with heavy equipment operation, including forklifts and cranes. Strong mechanical knowledge related to warehouse operations. Experience with materials handling techniques and safety protocols. Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks consistently throughout the shift. Knowledge of shipping & receiving processes is advantageous. Experience as a warehouse supervisor is a plus but not mandatory. Proficient in using RF scanners for order picking and inventory management. Understanding of construction principles may be beneficial for certain tasks.
