Job Description
Job Summary Join our vibrant marina team as a Marina Dockhand, where you'll be the friendly face ensuring smooth operations along the waterfront. In this energetic role, you'll assist with boat handling, maintain dock areas, and support boaters and visitors alike. Your mechanical aptitude and rigging skills will be essential in helping boats dock safely and securely. Duties Assist boaters with docking, undocking, and securing vessels using rigging techniques and mechanical tools Perform routine maintenance on docks, moorings, and marina equipment to ensure safety and functionality Operate small machinery such as boat lifts, winches, Kabota tractor, or forklifts to move boats or supplies as needed Conduct safety inspections of docks and surrounding areas to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards Support in setting up marina events or activities that enhance the guest experience Maintain cleanliness of docks, walkways, Bath house, and common areas to promote a welcoming environment Communicate effectively with boaters, staff, and visitors to coordinate activities and address concerns promptly Requirements Prior experience or knowledge of rigging techniques used in boat handling or marina operations Mechanical knowledge related to small engines, pumps, or lifting equipment is highly desirable Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods Strong communication skills with a friendly attitude toward guests and team members Demonstrated safety awareness and attention to detail in outdoor environments Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays as needed Join us in delivering memorable waterway experiences!
