Receives, unloads and processes incoming shipments. Coordines deliveries with base supply center. Acts as a receiving agent and verifies quantity against purchasing documents. Verifies th goods are intact and free of defects. Reports over, short or damaged conditions. Completes and signs shipping and receiving documents. Conducts inventory, which requires counting types and quantities of items. Responsible for maintaining a clean and organized warehouse to meet safety and fire regulions. Sweeps floors and disposes of packing merials and boxes. Determines organizion, arrangement and layout of storage space. Stocks merchandise on shelves, stacks pallets and in designed areas grouping like items together. Ensures inventory is properly stored and secured. Issues supplies using the first in first out practice and notifies supervisor when inventory gets low. Maintains purchasing, inventory and transfer files/documents. Operes vehicles such as stake trucks, pallet jack, fork lifts, dollies, box truck with lift ge, etc. Requirements Help Conditions of employment Possess a minimum of 1 year of direct customer service experience Must be over the age of 18. Must possess or be able to obtain a forklift driver's license within first 60 days of employment which requires passing a medical examinion prior to taking the forklift classes and exam. Possess or ability to obtain first aid and CPR certificion within 90 days of reporting to the job. Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license. The incumbent must be able to lift and move objects weighing as much as 75 pounds on a regular basis. May be required to wear protective clothing and shoes. Qualificions Must possess knowledge of the overall warehousing plan, documention requirements, and accepted warehousing methods, procedures and techniques. Ability to layout storage space and establish item and merial locions in accordance with agency regulions. Ability to prepare electronic inventory records and reports. Ability to read shipping and receiving documents for discrepancies, and direct shipments to shipping or storage areas. Must have approprie certificion and skill in using motorized vehicles and opering a forklift. Possess the ability to read and comprehend manuals and instructions used in the repair of equipment. Knowledge and ability to evalue, troubleshoot, analyze and pinpoint maintenance problems on fitness equipment and then perform the tasks required to correct the problem. Must be able to recognize when repairs are beyond capabilities and need to be disposed of. Knowledge of record keeping reled to preventive maintenance and inventory control. Knowledge of tools and equipment required in the maintenance and repair of equipment. Proficient in the use of a hand and power tools. Must be proficient with a computer and have basic knowledge of software such as Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and Outlook. Ability to communice effectively verbally.
