Job Title:
Warehouse Associate Job Description As a Warehouse Associate, you will be responsible for operating company-owned vehicles to deliver merchandise to and from customers and suppliers. You will play a key role in ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment. Responsibilities Operate company-owned vehicles safely for merchandise delivery and pick-up. Load and unload merchandise from vehicles. Obtain signatures on delivery and pick-up tickets. Follow assigned scheduling of deliveries and ensure timely arrival. Report accidents in accordance with company policies. Pull and check customer orders for accuracy. Stock merchandise in proper bin locations. Maintain a clean and safe warehouse environment. Report vehicle operating problems or maintenance needs. Maintain vehicles in a neat and clean condition. Provide courteous and service-minded interactions with customers. Receive and ship merchandise efficiently. Inform supervisor of shortages, overloads, or damaged merchandise. Refer customer complaints to supervisor. Attend department and company-wide meetings. Perform other duties as requested by supervisor. Essential Skills Previous industrial supply and warehouse experience. Valid driver's license with a good driving record. Ability to operate a sit-down fork truck. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with RF scanners. Inventory control knowledge. Driving box trucks. Customer service skills. Shipping and receiving experience. Why Work Here? Work Environment This position involves medium physical work, including exerting up to 75 pounds of force occasionally, 50 pounds frequently, and 10 pounds constantly. Duties involve lifting, reaching, standing, sitting, stooping, and walking. The shift runs from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm with a focus on picking, packing, material handling, and order picking. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sandston, VA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
