Job Title:
Warehouse Worker Job Description The Warehouse Worker is responsible for picking and packing orders, operating forklifts, and ensuring efficient warehouse operations. The role includes assisting with receiving, shipping, inventory control, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, dependable, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse setting. Responsibilities Operate a sit-down forklift safely and efficiently to move materials, products, and pallets throughout the warehouse. Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers. Receive, inspect, sort, and store incoming shipments. Pick, pack, stage, and prepare customer orders for shipment. Verify inventory quantities and product information using warehouse management systems and shipping documents. Conduct routine equipment inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns. Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and OSHA regulations. Assist with cycle counts, inventory audits, and stock replenishment. Maintain warehouse cleanliness and organization, including aisles, storage locations, and work areas. Handle materials manually when required and assist with general warehouse duties. Accurately complete required paperwork and electronic records. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet productivity and quality goals. Essential Skills Forklift operation, including sit-down and stand-up forklifts. High school diploma, GED, or equivalent. Minimum 1 year of warehouse experience. Ability to safely lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds on a regular basis. Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, kneel, and reach throughout the workday. Basic math, reading, and communication skills. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Basic computer experience. Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Must be able to work overtime, weekends, or flexible schedules as needed. Ability to pass forklift evaluations. Additional Skills & Qualifications Current forklift certification or ability to become certified upon hire. 2+ years of sit-down forklift experience. Experience operating a sit-down forklift in a warehouse, manufacturing, or distribution environment. Experience with RF scanners, barcode systems, or warehouse management software (WMS). Shipping and receiving experience. Inventory control or cycle counting experience. Experience working in a distribution center, manufacturing facility, or logistics environment. Knowledge of OSHA and warehouse safety standards. Experience loading and unloading trailers using proper load securement practices. Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills. Why Work Here? During summer months, temperatures range between 80-90 degrees, but it is more comfortable outside of summer. You will be standing and moving around most of the day at your designated work station. Monday- Friday 6am-2:30pm, 2nd
Shift:
Monday- Friday 2:00pm
- 10:30pm, 3rd
Shift:
Sunday- Friday 10:00pm
- 6:30am, and
Weekend:
Friday- Sunday 6:00am
- 6:30pm. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Woodway, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.05
